Financial Planner | President
Thomas R. Ludwig, CPA
I’m the President and Investment Advisor at Stockbridge Private Wealth Management LLC. I co-founded Stockbridge with my son because my passion is to use my lifetime of experience to help people achieve their financial goals, so people can do the things they love to do without worrying about their money.
Tom retired in 2014 as Treasurer and CFO of Brakebush Brothers, Inc., a position I enjoyed for 27 years. He served on the Brakebush Board of Directors from 2011-2014. He has a Bachelor degree in Accounting from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh, and an MBA in Finance from the UW-Whitewater. I’m a CPA, and in addition to being an investment advisor, I’m a member of the WICPA and AICPA.
During my tenure at Brakebush I was a key player in helping the company establish and execute strategic initiatives to expand and grow the company. While doing so, the company was consistently profitable. In addition to overseeing the Accounting and Financial operations of the business, I was responsible for Human Resources and Investment Technology (IT) at Brakebush. I retired from Brakebush at the end of 2014 to simply enjoy the fruits of my own retirement planning and investing, and to help a select group of clients do the same. I know what it’s like to make leap to retirement, and it’s my pleasure to help others along the same path.
After serving our country in the Marine Corps, I started my career working as an auditor for Deloitte-Touche, one of the worlds largest CPA firms. After leaving Deloitte, I worked in various capacities at Oscar Mayer in Madison, WI. I started in Internal Auditing but quickly moved into Financial Analysis and International Finance. The most fun I had during this time was working on several multi-million dollar joint ventures and divestitures, including Venezuela and Puerto Rico.
I’m married to Kathy, my high school sweetheart, has one son, Eric, and a daughter-in-law, Karen. In additional to enjoying my winter home in Florida, traveling, and golfing, one my favorite thing is to spend time with my grand-daughter Alex.
